WhWhile living in South Louisiana, EJ developed a passion for photography, capturing the region's stunning landscapes, architecture, and vibrant culture. After moving back to the Dallas area in 2014, he shifted his focus to documenting social movements and the predominantly Black and brown community of Oak Cliff, where his family had settled in the 1960s. EJ continues to dedicate his work to highlighting marginalized communities, particularly in Louisiana and Texas.

Photo Essay: The Oak Cliff Documentary

The Oak Cliff Documentary was an ongoing black and white photo essay documenting the neighborhood of Oak Cliff in Dallas, Texas between 2015 - 2021.
